About the product

First Lady of Physics, the “Atomic” Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu, immigrated by herself to the U.S. in 1936 and earned her Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley in the emerging field of radiation and nuclear physics. With the advent of WWII and heightened racism against Asians, Wu headed East where she became Princeton University’s first woman faculty member. Soon, she was recruited to join the team of elite scientists known as The Manhattan Project which developed the atom bomb.  Go to sharonspaulding.com/newsletters/ for more information.
